Agreeing to these terms
By using My Home Booklet (the website at myhomebooklet.com and the app at app.myhomebooklet.com), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. My Home Booklet is run by UTLocal LLC and built and hosted by CityWeb Design (“we” and “us”). It’s offered to homeowners with Olivia Pelton, a Utah real estate agent.
What My Home Booklet is
My Home Booklet helps you keep your property’s records in one place: warranty dates, issues and photos, home facts, contacts and reminders. It’s an organizing tool. It doesn’t replace your warranty documents, contracts, insurance policy or professional advice.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use My Home Booklet.
- Please give accurate information and keep your email account and your 6-digit security code private.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has gotten in, contact us right away.
Plans and payment
- Olivia’s clients get the full version free, by invitation.
- The Free Version is free for anyone, with limits (currently up to 5 issues and 25 photos).
- The Full Version costs $49 a year. Extra storage costs $20 a year for each additional 500 MB.
- Paid plans are billed through PayPal and renew automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your PayPal account, and you won’t be charged again.
- Payments aren’t refunded for the unused part of a year, unless the law requires it.
- We may change prices in the future. If we do, we’ll tell you before your next renewal.
Your content
Everything you add to your booklet stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it (for example, resizing photos and making reports) and show it to you, only so we can run the service. You can download or delete your content at any time.
Please only upload things you have the right to upload, and never upload Social Security numbers, bank or credit card numbers, or passwords.
Reminders, countdowns and reports
Warranty countdowns, reminders and seasonal tips are there to help, but they’re estimates based on what you enter. Your actual warranty documents and contracts decide your coverage and deadlines. Please check them, and contact your builder or warranty company directly for anything urgent. We aren’t responsible for a missed deadline or a denied claim.
When you use a report, you send it yourself, from your own email. The app never contacts builders or companies for you.
Recommended pros
Companies listed as recommended by Olivia are independent businesses. We don’t guarantee their work, prices or availability, so please check them out for yourself before you hire anyone. Any paid listing is labeled “Sponsored.”
Using the service fairly
Please don’t misuse My Home Booklet: no trying to get into other people’s accounts, upload harmful files, overload the service, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Availability and backups
We work hard to keep My Home Booklet running and backed up, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copies of important papers, and use Download everything now and then.
Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime from your booklet. If we ever stop offering My Home Booklet, we’ll give you notice and time to download your records first.
Limits on our responsibility
My Home Booklet is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Utah law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we’ll let you know by email or in the app.
