Who we are
My Home Booklet (the website at myhomebooklet.com and the app at app.myhomebooklet.com) is run by UTLocal LLC and built and hosted by CityWeb Design. It’s offered to homeowners with Olivia Pelton, a Utah real estate agent. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean UTLocal LLC and CityWeb Design.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and city.
- Home details you enter: such as your street address, closing date, builder, and whether your home is new construction or a resale.
- What you add to your booklet: issues, photos, documents, notes, contacts and home facts. Adding any of these is optional.
- Sign-in and account activity: when you joined and last signed in, your plan, how much storage you use, your reminder choices, and the information needed to keep you signed in on your devices.
- Messages you send us: anything you send through our contact form, including your name, email, phone number if you give it, and your message.
- Payment details: if you upgrade, PayPal handles your payment. We receive your name, email and whether your subscription is active. We never see your card or bank numbers.
We remove location data from photos when you add them, and keep the date the photo was taken.
How we use it
- To run your booklet: show you your records, warranty countdowns and reports, and keep your account secure.
- To send the emails you need, like sign-in links and codes, and reports you ask us to email you.
- To send reminder and other emails from Olivia, such as warranty reminders, seasonal home care tips, home anniversary notes, or an offer of a free home value update. These are only sent if you want them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer your questions and requests.
- To keep the service working, safe and backed up.
Who can see your information
- You. Your photos, documents, issues and notes are shown only to you after you sign in. Your files can’t be opened by a shared link.
- Olivia Pelton. She can see your name, email, city and plan, when you joined and last signed in, how much storage you use, and which reminders you get. She can’t see your photos, documents, issues or notes unless you choose to send them to her.
- The people who run the service. The app doesn’t show your files to us. We may access account information when you ask for help, or when needed to keep the service running and secure.
- Service providers that help us run My Home Booklet: our web host, Cloudflare (website security and delivery), an off-site backup provider, and PayPal (payments). They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
We never sell your information, and there are no ads. We share information only as described here, or if the law requires it.
Cookies and website statistics
The app uses a cookie to keep you signed in on each browser. On myhomebooklet.com we use simple, cookie-free statistics to see which pages are visited. We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking for ads.
Your choices
- Turn reminder emails on or off in your booklet, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Update or delete anything you’ve added, anytime.
- Download everything in your booklet as one zip file.
- Delete your account. Your booklet and files are permanently erased from the app.
How long we keep information
We keep your booklet until you delete it or your account. Our backups are kept for a limited time, so deleted information may stay in a backup for a short period before it’s removed as backups are replaced. Contact form messages are kept so we can follow up on your request.
Security
We use two-step sign-in, keep your files in a private folder outside the public website, encrypt connections to the site, and back up the server regularly. No system is perfectly secure, so please never upload Social Security numbers, bank or credit card numbers, or passwords.
Children
My Home Booklet is for adults who own or manage a home. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we’ll let you know by email or in the app.
