Privacy & Security

Your home's details stay yours

How we keep your booklet private, and what you're always in control of.

Only you see your booklet

Your photos, documents, issues and notes are shown only to you. The app never shows them to Olivia or to the people who run the site, unless you choose to share them.

Olivia can see your name, email, city and plan, when you joined and last signed in, how much storage you're using, and which reminders you get. That's it.

Files can't be opened by a link

Your files are kept in a private folder outside the public website. They're only sent to you while you're signed in, so a copied or forwarded link won't open them for anyone else.

Two-step sign-in, no passwords

You sign in with a link or 6-digit code sent to your email. On each new phone or computer, you also enter your own 6-digit security code, so your booklet stays private even if someone gets into your email.

There's no password to forget, reuse or have stolen.

Photo locations are removed

Phone photos can carry the exact spot where they were taken. We remove that location data when you add a photo, and keep the date, which is what matters for a warranty claim.

You decide who gets a report

When you need to send an issue to your builder, we email the report to you. You forward it yourself, from your own email. The app never contacts builders or companies for you.

Never sold or shared

There are no ads in My Home Booklet, and we never sell or share your information. Emails from Olivia, like reminders or an offer of a free home value update, are only sent if you want them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Download or delete anytime

Download everything in your booklet as one zip file whenever you like. If you delete your account, your booklet and files are deleted from the app.

Backed up off-site

The server is backed up regularly to a separate, secure location, so your booklet isn't lost if something goes wrong.

Share with Olivia when you want her help

Need Olivia's help with something, or selling your property with her someday? You can send her any of your booklet details, like upgrades, repairs or storm and water damage records, so she has what she needs.

Nothing is ever shared with Olivia unless you send it.

Uploading documents

Optional, but worth it

You never have to upload anything. But when a warranty deadline comes up or something breaks, having the paperwork in one safe place can save you time and money.

Good things to save

  • Builder warranty and closing papers
  • Appliance manuals and receipts
  • Inspection reports
  • Repair invoices and service records
  • Photos of shutoffs, panels and labels

Please never upload

  • Social Security numbers
  • Bank or credit card numbers
  • Passwords or account logins

If a document has any of these, cover them before you take the photo.
